Our story

In 2013, the Nowaskie family purchased Elaine's Stride Rite. After a brief closing, we ropened our doors as Sarah's Stride Rite & Family Footwear in Vincennes, Indiana. We named the store after our favorite shoe diva, Sarah. We worked hard to build Sarah's to a place that people come for great customer service and quality shoes. In addition to great shoe and sock brands for the whole family, Sarah's also serves as a children's gift shop. Our shop makes a great stop for baby showers and birthday shopping. Visit us to see our collection of Melissa & Doug toys and other baby accessory items.

We now have two locations! In 2020 (in the middle of a pandemic), we opened our second store in Terre Haute, Indiana! We are excited to offer the same great service and product at an additional location!
